Privacy Policy

Alexandria Taxi ("the game") is a free browser game at alextaxigame.com. This policy explains what information the game collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: we keep only what the game needs to work — your username, your progress and the feedback you choose to send. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

• Your account. The username you choose and your password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form — we can't read it). If you continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us so we can sign you in. Guests get an anonymous account with a name like Guest4821.
• Your progress. Money earned per shift and in total, your best shift, race times, the cars you own and the car you drive. Usernames and these scores appear on the public leaderboards (guests don't).
• Online play. When you play online, your username, car and its position are sent to the other players in your room while you play. This isn't stored after you leave.
• Feedback you send. If you answer the in-game feedback question: your stars, what you write, the game mode and graphics setting, how long you'd played, and your browser and device type (to help fix bugs).
• On your device. The game saves your settings (graphics, controls, sound) and keeps you signed in using your browser's local storage. These stay on your device. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
• Technical logs. Like any website, our hosting providers may briefly log technical details such as your IP address to deliver the game and keep it secure.

How we use it

Only to run the game: to sign you in, save your progress and cars, show the leaderboards, connect you with other players online, and fix problems and improve the game using feedback.

Who else handles it

We use a few services to run the game. They process data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — accounts, sign-in, leaderboards, progress and feedback.
• Cloudflare — hosting the website and the online multiplayer servers.
• Google — only if you choose "Continue with Google" (sign-in), and Google Fonts for the game's lettering.

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Your account and progress are kept while your account exists. Feedback is kept to improve the game. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your choices

• Play as a guest instead of creating an account.
• Log out at any time from the start menu.
• Ask us to see, correct or delete your account and its data: email hello@alextaxigame.com from the address you signed in with, or tell us your username.

Children

The game is for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
